Singlewell Primary School
Head Boy & Head Girl
Meet Freya and Aaron, our new Head Pupils!
They are very responsible Year 6 pupils who were elected to be Singlewell's Head Pupils.
At Singlewell, it is essential to teach our Year 6s that as the oldest in school, they are role models to the other children and therefore are first in line for certain responsibilities.
We wanted Head Pupils who would embody our CARES values at all times.
All Year 6 pupils received a description of what the role of Head Pupil involves and had the opportunity to apply. Many pupils wrote their applications, which all staff viewed and shortlisted six finalists collaboratively. The six finalists then presented why they would be best suited for the role in large assemblies and the children voted for who they wanted to be led by.
Freya: "I am very proud to be the Head Girl and cannot wait to show Governors and other visitors around! It will be fun to work alongside Mrs Catt & Mrs Broad. I look forward to sharing my imaginative ideas to develop the school."
Aaron: "I would like to represent our school values around the school. I am looking forward to adapting the responsibility of my role. I am also looking forward to assisting and working alongside Mrs Catt & Mrs Broad. I will be a positive role model around our school!"
